Overview
Martinez was just 16 when he signed for a moderate bonus. His fastball reached as high as 93 mph and he added a curve and change. The report in Baseball America referred to Martinez as a “strike thrower,” but it didn’t go that way in his debut.
2024
Martinez’ DSL debut was rough. He struck out 23 in 19.1 IP, but he walked 19, and had a 2.12 WHIP and 7.91 ERA.
