Man... sure as hell hope nothing is good on with Keller's health?

It's nice having Palacios and Lamb around. Makes it feel like the team could pull off one more tank year if it really wanted to.

Don’t look now, but Peguero now leads all 2b competitors in hitting.

Sort of thought that was inevitable - hitting well for average and power with less than 15 AB, and 2 Walks/0 K, and a 1.200+ OPS. I am hoping he and Cruz could both be 20/20 guys in 2024.

Listened to his interview on the Pirate page, talking about putting the ball in play and trying to maintain consistency. A mature approach, and just amazed that this kid from the DR is so well spoken in the English language!

It appears there is not a lot of love for Peggy overall on here but I've been a fan since they obtained him. I believe he's easily a 20/20 guy or better as a regular but with this owner and front office true talent takes a backseat to the bottom line which is really a buzzkill, lol.

Good thing he makes the minimum…

Maybe a tossup on here between the Nick Gonzales fans and the Liover Peguero fans. They were both highly thought of going into 2023, but Peguero, IMO, won the position as the 2B with his overall play for the Pirates last year. His 7 HR in a little over 200 AB is power our lineup could use moving forward, and he was a perfect 1.000 fielder at 2B, and a .960 fielder at SS - just a little lower than Cruz (.968), and Williams (.963) at SS. When we want to give Cruz a blow at SS, Peguero moves over to SS and Jared Triolo moves into 2B.

Not certain, but maybe our first loss due to unearned runs. E-Termarr.

The official scorer said it was one unearned.

You can't assume a double play.

Fair nuff

I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's the rule when accounting for unearned vs. earned runs. It makes some sense in that the pitcher is partially to blame for putting the first runner on and therefore making it a tougher play for his defense.

Julio Teheran?! What is it 2012?

What is baseball if not a story of second chances. And third chances. And fourth chances.

Especially if you have an arm that's still medically classified as attached.

Don’t worry, it won’t be long until the owners figure out a way to up charge us to watch meaningless baseball.

So far they haven't. And they've had a lot of time to think on it.

I like that Keller feller, wearing yella. From the land of that Bob Feller feller. (And my home town of CR)
