The Yankees may be waking up just in time for the season opener. Last thing any AL East opponent wanted to see was Giancarlo Stanton finding his HR stroke. Must have been difficult to watch.
Looked like he was pitching scared first three batters. Was missing bad. Bit him in the azz. Pitch to Rizzo wasn't that bad, and even had only a xBA of .080, but that was not a good inning.
Gonzalez had one of those games where I would be surprised if he didn’t go on the injured list tomorrow. When the wheels fall off like that, something is usually broken.
Stanton's third tater was a mere morsel at 426 feet. If you're keeping track, Gonzalez has served Stanton 1334 feet of tater salad tonight. That's just over a quarter of a mile.
Had to check on a couple things, just wondering if Stanton's first homer orbited the earth yet? Apparently he sent a second one to try and catch up with the first.
That went well.
Watching this debacle late, Tellez barely moved on Soto's grounder past him in the 2nd. That ain't good, that was Column Moran-like.
Well the reds lost another middle infield prospect for the year. Edwin Arroyo torn labrum.
Braves lineup consisting almost entirely of minor leaguers obliterated Gonzales a couple of weeks ago.
He’s done. Nerve damage. He used to be a competent #5. A technician, a competitor. But he’s finished. He can’t consistently locate his pitches.
The fact that the Pirates rostered him instead of signing another real SP is embarrassing to Gonzales and another slap in the face to fans.
Not playing people's scrubs any more . . . .

Not writing him off lol…just pointing out his current speed bump to work on
Priester just can’t avoid the big inning in his early career…that’s too bad!

Morton and Keller come to mind.
Quinn's pitch plot is not going to be pretty
If we had a FO that gave a s***, there’s one rotation decision that’d be a slam dunk.
Agee 100% Jones should be going north.
He will, to Indy…
Sign Ohtani for 2025 knowing that he'll be banned for life?
No wonder the Dodgers deferred the payments... lol.
Jared Jones
But, on the positive side, MG threw 84 pitches and exited the game uninjured.
He actually exited twice. Ryder Ryan came in to get the final two outs of the second, then Marco came back out for the third.
I thought it was 88 pitches but who's counting, lol.

Over 1400 ft of HR distance from Stanton tonight👀
Marco feels like a LH Zach Davies. Good news is that Stanton isn't in the division
Stanton will get injured falling out of bed in the morning and Marco will turn out to be a semi-useful swingman for the Bucs.

First one damn near landed on Dale Mabry Hwy…
That was a brutal 2 innings. Not exactly a confidence inspiring ST from Marco.
But wait there’s more!!!!!!
I disagree, I’m confident he’s gonna fail! 😆
Well, now we get to see Priester against that line up. Somehow Weaver, WEAVER is shutting down the Cannon Cockers.
We might need to workshop that nickname a bit.....
As I’ve explained before, the artillery regiment in the USMC are called the cannon cockers.
