Love that I wrote shit about Bae and Peguero and now they are showing life, the Peguero HR last game was against a 33 year old career minor leaguer, but still.
Yorke makes more sense to me if he can play 1B. DJ couldn’t be optioned when Horwitz came back. Hall could, but he hasn’t hit much. Palacios is an easy cut for me, but BC seems obsessed with the guy.
The bullpen is seriously complicated. I like several of the NRIs more than at least a couple of the roster guys, including Strzelecki. Based on ST so far, I’d rather have Rainer and Borucki than Strzelecki and Mayza.
Anyone else have issues with MLB.tv? Kept telling me I can't access it and my account on MLB.com was showing a connection error in the settings. Only the free game is working.
Listening to this game and I think I heard the Pirate announcer say that Delay would probably be the back up to Joey Bart, and Henry Davis and Endy Rodriguez have also caught games. Did I hear that correctly?
Thank you. Feeding the public that kind of crap is ridiculous, and he is obviously not privy to the stats. Wow Peguero!!!! The Eddy Yean Cartel with a 2 inning Save.
Forgot to mention, Henry Davis looked very good behind the plate and Jared Jones is not the easiest guy to catch. Close to showing a handful of NRI's the door?
I thought so too. I was enjoying the game at a local refreshery and thought exactly the same thing.
I can recall in the last year or two comparing Tank to Ryan Doumit and the Iron Glove... But, honestly, he looked solid back there yesterday... Gives me good vibrations.
Waiting, seeing the ball, and then swinging straight out is something that will improve the quality and consistency of contact. And, he has enough muscle to hit it out to any field without trying to turn on it and pull it to LF. He has made some definite improvements in the quality of his receiving and is doing the same with his hitting.
I think being the number one pick, the last 2 years he felt some pressure to step in and be the man. I think he is feeling like one of the guys now as I see a different attitude this year. I am pulling for him.
Saw some BP at Pirate City this morning. The guy who stood out was a tall, lean left-handed hitter who barreled the ball almost every time, with a smooth, easy swing. They're not wearing numbered jerseys yet, but I'm pretty sure that was Edward Florentino.
I went yesterday for a bit. I saw Griffin at shortstop, but the guy that stood out was a wide-body a good 3 inches taller than Griffin. I'm guessing Tony Blanco.
When I was down there last year I remember us having to jump online to find the roster to pick out a few guys, there was no doubting who Blanco was when he walked past the stands. He's a mountain and a half
Pham interview was excellent timing. He's pissed that he can't hit velo and is scrapping whatever coaches had him doing the last 4 games. Guy wears his feelings on his sleeve. Love that.
Gerritt Cole having his right elbow tested. He could finally succumb to Tommy John surgery.

Roster puzzle could get complicated.
How do you see it shaping? I’m thinking two NRI have a chance (DJ and Rainer,) so Palacios and Strzelecki go?

could trade IKF

I think renewal date was 2/28, so if your credit card on file changed or expired you may he locked out.
PEGGY!! Wow, saves the W! Deep in the hole and strong throw to first with tying run on 3rd.
Is Eddy actually still in there or is lameday screwed up again?
He pitched 2 IP.......not sure why.
They’re getting serious about him.
Stumpf on Yean:

Hard to believe that this might actually work out.
I gave up on him long ago. Good on him. It'd be really cool if he made the Show.

Mediots readily buy into the notion that guys learn to hit ML pitching by facing AAA pitching.
You did, it was Brown.
Ugh Brown is such an insufferable douche.
Thank you. Feeding the public that kind of crap is ridiculous, and he is obviously not privy to the stats. Wow Peguero!!!! The Eddy Yean Cartel with a 2 inning Save.
The Eddy Yean Cartel...
.... that's funny.... gotta keep that....
My conspiracy theory is that the Pirates front office gives bad news to Brown so he can break it to us slowly.

It looked like he was trying to go opposite field again today. A different approach than last summer.
Waiting, seeing the ball, and then swinging straight out is something that will improve the quality and consistency of contact. Will Crowe mentioned when Yean gets in the game. Looks like he had a good 2024 in KBO.
5-1, 3.57 era, 43 K's in 40 IP and then had elbow surgery.
Don’t get Robert K started.
Omg forgot about that meme! Lol.
Dude named Mooney. Hope the lad is faring well. Sean maybe?
So, who saw Lean Eddy coming?
BC did
<while bmac ducks>
Blind squirrel….
how long until we have to add Guittierez to the 40 man roster?
He actually became a FA, re-signed for 2025.
heir apparant to Delay? Delay is soon to become too expensive, no? Carter Bins still in the organization?
Bins didn’t even get an NRI.
need to draft a few college catchers in july
Moar Goarski.
Less Palacios.
i like stephen morales

I was interested to see that MLB pipeline put him in their Pirates top 30. Hope he does well in his first season stateside.
I went yesterday for a bit. I saw Griffin at shortstop, but the guy that stood out was a wide-body a good 3 inches taller than Griffin. I'm guessing Tony Blanco.
I did mean Blanco. I went back and fixed it.
You mean Blanco? He’s a mountain.

Haha, when I go through photos I sometimes use www.facecheck.id.
Going through my photos, I realized Florentino was working out at 1B, fwiw.
I’m incredibly excited to see him play this year. So many fun names in Bradenton I’ve been debating an extra trip there
Me, too.
Oh . . . wait . . . .
Did you get to see Sanford?
He and Griffin were in one of the IF drills, but that's all I saw of them. Rynders was out there, too.
Had a Brennan Malone sighting, in PFP.
Thanks
A Brennan Malone sighting? What’s next, a Syd Finch sighting?
Until they start wearing numbered jerseys, Syd is everybody.
Hard not to root for Malone, btw. Seems like a good guy. Always laughing about something, and he’s had plenty of cause to go moping around.
Pham interview was excellent timing. He's pissed that he can't hit velo and is scrapping whatever coaches had him doing the last 4 games. Guy wears his feelings on his sleeve. Love that.
Also dropped a F bomb which was the most predictable outcome to putting a mic on him
Don't think he knew he was still live......he was complaining to Vogey! The producer could have cut him off as the inning was over.
Yea that's what it seemed like, still funny lol
No play at plate, line drive over 3b that went to corner. Didn’t noticed if he was running on the play, just watched the highlight.
I guess this would have been easier if Bae had sucked all spring. Instead he’s on a mission.
Bae over Suwinski?
I sure wish he´d master the drag bunt
Anyone see the Phillies run score? Stubbs (catcher) scores from first on a double to Pham.....just wondering if there was a play at the plate?
Nvm, I can replay it lol. Ball was in the corner, so that run was not on Pham.
