Gameday 103: Pirates Open Weekend Series Against Phillies
After taking two of three against the Padres, the Pirates return home to face the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Pirates kept things entertaining in San Diego, with David Bednar walking in a run with the bases loaded before getting the final two outs, clinching their road series against the Padres.
For the first time this season they will take on their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies, with the game starting at 7:05 pm ET.

Update: It was known in the morning from a Jason Mackey tweet, but the Pirates made it official that Josh Palacios would be taking the roster opened by the Carlos Santana trade.
Update: On the minor league side of things, plenty of moves coming quick and fast, some due to injuries.
— Mason Martin promoted to Triple-A, while RHP Brad Case sent from Indy to the FCL.
— Both Altoona catchers head to the injured list (Abrahan Gutierrez and Dylan Shockley), with Eli Wilson coming up in support. Claudio Finol will likely get some playing time behind the plate once again.
— Norris Marcos activated by the Altoona Curve.
